NEW YORK?Casual game developer Oberon Media added to its portfolio, snapping up mobile game-maker Blaze for an undisclosed sum.
Blaze claims more than 100 carrier relationships and boasts a library of licensed mobile games including The Da Vinci Code, VH1 Mobile?s I Know the 80s and an MTV-branded music quiz. The company gained traction under the name Kayak Interactive until it rebranded earlier this year after merging European publisher Synergenix and fellow U.S. developer Chasma.
Oberon?s publishing arm produces games for phones as well as computers, the Internet and consoles.
?Over the past year we have been developing great games, innovative platforms to boost sales and grow mobile casual gamer communities,? said Ofer Leidner, an Oberon co-founder. ?We look forward to work with our new partners on expanding their reach and offering to consumers.?
