It seems as though Nokia has managed to rejuvenate some hope for eager N-Gage fans expecting to see a next-gen version in the future. While the N-Gage wasn?t a particularly groundbreaking success, it appears as though several key publishers and developers are looking into Nokia?s second N-Gage attempt, reports Pockergamer.
Sega, Sony Online Entertainment, Universal, Square Enix, Capcom, THQ Wireless, Glu Mobile, Digital Chocolate, EA Mobile, Tecmo, Namco and Vivendi Games were apparently amongst the group at the top-secret meeting held in Santa Monica last week. Whether they?re planning to develop for the next N-Gage remains to be seen.
Reported features include an 'N-Gage activation code system' for game distribution and the ability to ?track and manage? games. Sounds neat.
The possibility of a second N-Gage was never off the cards, considering it was first announced at E3 in 2005, and that the recent spurt in mobile gaming has shown potential for game developers, making N-Gage2 even more likely despite recent reports.
It is expected that Nokia will unveil more details regarding the system at the Game Developer's Conference, which begins on the 5th of March.
