The News of the World has launched a mobile version of its weekly paper available to subscribers for ?1 per week.

The NOTW mobile application will automatically update subscribers' phones with content on Saturday night - ahead of the newspaper's physical publication on Sunday.

To access the service users have to text NOTW to 60040, subscribers will then receive two messages, including an SMS with instructions on how to download the application, and a message with

The service will include news, videos and pictures. It requires consumers to download an application by texting into a short code and following a WAP link.

The first mobile edition launched last Saturday with a free 30 day trial period.
