We?ve received a press release from MobiTV about its intentions in Latin America?apparently they were taken by surprise by Telcel?s mobile TV announcement last week. Although MobiTV was in talks with Iusacell its chosen to go with Telcel, which is the largest carrier in Mexico and part of regional giant Am?rica M?vil, which also has a strong presence in Argentina and Brazil.

This is the debut of MobiTV in Latin America, which the company feels is ripe for the first movers to move in.

?The agreement recently established with Am?rica M?vil signifies the largest mobile entertainment offering in Latin America. Other Am?rica M?vil carriers soon to offer the MobiTV service include Claro Brazil and CTI Argentina, with more Am?rica M?vil properties to follow in the future.?

The channels offered by Telcel include CNN en Espa?ol, Cartoon Network, Nick, ESPN Movil, A&E, The History Channel, Bloomberg Television, MAXX Deportes, and Fashion TV.
