Indian Market To Boom, But In Voice & Text

The Hindu Business Line has an article about the Indian mobile content market, which ?is expected to grow from Rs 558 crore (US$125 million) in 2005 to Rs 1,802 crore (US$404.6 million) by 2007, according to the Internet and Mobile Association of India?. However, the fast growth of the mobile subscriber base in India is largely in the lower end of the market, so the mobile content services will mostly be those that don?t require GPRS-enabled phones, according to the article. ?So even though ESPN Mobile offers sports content in voice, video, text, SMS and games, it expects its voice and SMS services to be the main attractions.?
