Chalk up another one for Google. Today India?s Bharti Airtel announced a strategic partnership with the search giant. According to the press release, Google will power mobile search on the Airtel Live mobile WAP portal in allowing users to search on-portal content (Airtel Live has over 50,000 pieces of content) as well as the wider Web. Google will bring its search monetization capabilities to the table, incorporating Mobile Ads - text advertisements linked to key word search terms ? ?alongside search results on the Airtel Live mobile portal.? (No mention of branding or any comment on the revenue these ads might bring in ? but I have calls out to Google and will update this post with more detail as it comes in.)
