Gameloft Earns $28.25 Million For Fourth Quarter

Gameloft has released its fourth quarter and full year results. In the fourth quarter of 2006 Gameloft posted consolidated sales of 21.8 million euros (US$28.25 million), a year-on-year increase of 41 percent. For the full year sales were 88.4 million euros (US$89 million), an increase of 46 percent compared to 2005. Out of the mobile game sales 91 percent were downloadable games, with their sales increase 78 percent over the full year (one percent of total sales were from the website jeuxvideo.com, which was sold in June 2006).

On a regional breakdown Europe accounted for 45 percent of sales in Q4, North America 39 percent and the rest of the world 15 percent. In 2005 Europe accounted for more than half of Gameloft?s revenues, so it indicates that the company is improving its business in other markets.

Throughout 2006 70 percent of Gameloft?s revenue was generated by its back catalogue?there were a lot of new games in the ?best sellers?, but the real benefit will come in future years. The company expects 2007 sales of between 90 and 100 million euros and a strong increase in the operating margin. The full financial results will be posted in March.
