Telepo, a Swedish software company, has received the GSM Association 2007 Award for the Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service. The award is yet another success for Telepo, following a recent announcement that Ericsson has selected to license its software for converged multimedia and real-time communication.
The GSMA award jury gave the following comment to its decision to select Telepo among the nominated companies: "Superb example of innovation - an important application in an emerging market that will deliver value to enterprises worldwide".
"The GSM Association has selected us for creating a user-centric communication solution that puts usability in focus. This is a major acknowledgment for our innovative development team - and it also confirms that converged communication is increasingly important for every enterprise", said Lars-Micha?l Paqval?n, CEO of Telepo.
Rob Conway, GSM Association CEO, said: "Achieving success in the global mobile industry requires a combination of innovation, expertise, tenacity and confidence - but the key ingredient is a knowledge of what the market needs to move forward the new mobile era. The 2007 winners are recognised as having turned that knowledge into practical services and solutions that capture mobile users' needs. My congratulations on behalf of the GSMA - we wish you every continued success."
