well... Some PDA support J2ME with few special APIs. Otherwise they should be easily running on them if you dont use any special apis. I dont have good experience with PDAs and not very much interested on it.

What do you consider a special api?

But i've got another problem that i've only discovered last night, the game that i've compiled for a Nokia E60, doesn't run on any other phone, or even any other Nokia.
Can you help me with this? am i doing anything wrong in the compilation? or is it something wrong with the code?
I'm using netbeans, does it have anything to do with this problem?

Thanks ;)

Netbeans has nothing to do this your problem... But meanwhile let me know what do you mean doesn't run on any other phone? Do you mean it doesn't get installed or doesnt start,? or you get the application hung when you start it? let me know somemore detals on the problem

It installs but it doesn't start, it says, out of memory error.

now i'm building class by class to see wich one has the problem, and so far it seems that the problem is in the GameCanvas, it looks like the other Nokia(6280) in wich i'm trying the game doesn't like it. any idea why?

ok
i've found the code that was messing this things up

public Jogo(Inicio ini){

super(true);
iniciar = ini;

luzimg = new Image[25];
try{
Sel = Image.createImage ("/selector.png");
back = Image.createImage ("/back2.png");
for(int i=0;i<luzimg.length;i++){
luzimg[i] = Image.createImage ("/luzesSpr.png");
}
}catch(IOException ex){
ex.printStackTrace();
}
}

any idea why everytime i load some images it breaks down?

thanks ;)

oh, you are not still aware of the limitations that mobile devices have. We dont have a huge bulk of memory (ram) to run your application like in PCs. We only have a few kbs and the limit differs from mobile to mobile.

You have a lot of limitation in J2ME. Every device has its own memory limitations. Meaning the amount of images you can load is very limited. The outofmemory error is shown when the memory is full. Also dont believe in emulators as they dont react the same as on the phone.

That is the problem with mobile gaming. You need to port it to each device or the family and test it in atleast the lead devices.
