getting unique information from mobiles

Can the server(computer) getting unique information, e.g. the phone # , mobile IP or sth like this form the clients(mobile phones)? If so, how can this be done?

for unique information we cannot read the phone number... The only possible way it to read bluetooth device id... which is not allowed to read in some devices.

then, if I want to send SMS to clients, it is no method?

the best way is to ask them to register using the application and send sms from the application to yours. This might be the simple way but most java phones dont allow an application to read sim details.
